The East Brunswick Friends of the Library will sponsor a Defensive-Driving Course 6:30-10 p.m. May 11 and 12 at the East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center. Registration is required. Seating is limited to 30 people.
Eligible motorists may erase 2 points from their driver’s license and/or get a 5 percent discount on a portion of their auto insurance. Fees range from $55-$65, depending on one’s goals. To receive credit for the course, participants must attend both sessions. Applications are available at the circulation desk and by logging on to the library website at www.ebpl.org and clicking on News and Events.
Approved by the state of New Jersey, the course will be taught by an experienced police detective/accident investigator. A vehicle is not needed, as the course is conducted entirely in a classroom setting with multimedia aids.
