East Windsor, NJ, May 23, 2009: For Immediate Release
The story of the abduction, beating and rape of a teenage boy, followed by the unsolved brutal murder of his assailant, is now a moving novel written by the man who survived this vicious attack.
In an interview with The Times, his childhood hometown newspaper in Rhode Island, Keith Smith announced the release of his debut novel, Men in My Town. Smith writes in his Author’s Note, Men in My Town is based on the true-life story of my abduction, beating and rape and the unsolved murder of the man who attacked me. The story is set in my hometown of Lincoln, Rhode Island, where I was attacked in 1974 and the gritty city of Providence, where my attacker was brutally beaten to death in 1975. It’s a true story of someone getting away with murder.
Keith Smith was born in Rhode Island and graduated from Providence College with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science. A Wealth Management Executive with a Wall Street career, he’s a member of the Board of Trustees of a Lawrenceville based social service agency that provides crisis intervention counseling to children who are victims of sexual assault.
Men in My Town is available now at Amazon.com in Trade Paperback ($14.99) and as an E-book download for Kindle ($7.99) ISBN-13:978-1439226254
