St. Stan’s Carnival 2009 will take place 6-11 p.m. June 24, 25 and 27, and 6 p.m.- midnight June 26 (food tent will open at 5 p.m.) on the St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish grounds, MacArthur Avenue and Main Street, Sayreville.
Discounted ride tickets and advance super 50/50 raffle tickets may be purchased at several area locations according to the following schedule:
• Foodtown of South Amboy, Bordentown Avenue, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. June 6;
• prior to Sunday-Afternoon Bingo at St. Stan’s auditorium, noon-1:30 p.m. June 7, 14 and 21;
• prior to Tuesday-Night Bingo at St. Stan’s auditorium, 6-7:30 p.m. June 9, 16 and 23;
• Sayreville Seafood and Deli, Washington Road, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. June 13 and 20, and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. June 14 and 21;
• Camillo’s Restaurant, 31 MacArthur Ave., Sayreville, during regular business hours;
• St. Stan’s parish office, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Mondays-Fridays, 6-9 p.m. Wednesdays.
Carnival highlights will include rides for children and adults; games of chance; a “Las Vegas” money wheel for adults; nightly and super 50/50 drawings; a raffle for a 50-inch plasma high-definition television; a seafood area; a food tent featuring a variety of ethnic and American homemade foods; nightly entertainment; a beer garden; barbecued ribs; desserts; and a fish fry beginning at 5 p.m. on June 26.
The nightly lineup is as follows:
• June 24 — entertainment by Triple H Productions at 6:30 p.m., the music of “Dave Miller” at 8 p.m.
• June 25 — music by The Fog at 7:30 p.m.;
• June 26 — St. Stan’s School Alumni Night, music by Shadow Road at 7:30 p.m.;
• June 27 — Col. David B. Kelly Pipes and Drums at 7:30 p.m., music of Take Cover at 8 p.m.
