Hettie L. Chiarchiaro

Mrs. Chiarchiaro, 83, of Aberdeen, died May 26, 2009, at Regency Park Health Care Center in Hazlet. Born and raised in Vale, N.C., she obtained her LPN license while employed at Marlboro State Hospital from 1951-1954. Mrs. Chiarchiaro was a member of the Boarding Home Association and proprietor of Parker Boarding Home from 1956 until present. She was predeceased by her first husband, Lee Roy Parker; her second husband, Joseph Chiarchiaro; a son, Melvin Ray Parker; a brother, Judson Leatherman; and two sisters, Consula Leatherman-Cuchural and Pauline Leatherman- Norman. Surviving are two daughters, Myrene Hoffman of Union Beach and Ivetta Holland of Marlboro; two sons, Conley Parker of Freehold and Calvin Parker of Vale, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation was held at the Freeman Funeral Home, Manalapan, with burial at Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery in Vale, N.C.
