Mr. Fuchs, 84, of Marlboro, died June 3, 2009, at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold Township. He lived in East Brunswick before moving to Marlboro 15 years ago. Mr. Fuchs served in the U.S. Navy, the Seabees, during World War II, earning the purple heart twice. He was an investigator for the New Jersey Research Bureau in East Orange for 35 years before retiring, and was a member of the Marlboro Jewish Center Congregation Ohev Shalom in Marlboro. Mr. Fuchs was predeceased by a son, Scott, in 2008. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Florence; a daughter, Andrea Fuchs of East Brunswick; a daughter-in-law, Tricia Fuchs of Cary, N.C.; a brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Marti of Middletown; a brother, Morton of Atlanta; three sisters-in-law, Carol Katz, Barbara Muller and Sandra Muller; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at Freeman Funeral Home, Manalapan, followed by interment at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge.
