Mrs. Zdancewic, 90, of Freehold Township, died June 1, 2009, after battling cancer for several years. A lifelong resident of Monmouth County, she obtained a degree in fine arts, using her talent during World War II drawing maps for the military from aerial photographs. She was a farm wife and was active in many organizations, such as the BattlegroundHistoric Society, of which she was treasurer for 40 years. In 1978 she was selected by Governor Brendan Thomas Byrne to be on the New Jersey Historic Sites Council. She is survived by her children, Arthur Leon Zdancewic and Ann Zdancewic Kamzelski; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church, Freehold, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were by Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold.
