Library plans movies for adults, children

The Spotswood Public Library, 548 Main St., plans a series of upcoming Thursday afternoon movies for adults and a Kids Movie Series on Wednesdays.

The adult series will begin at 2:30 p.m. June 25 with a recent Clint Eastwood release featuring the actor/director as a tough-minded man whose prize possession is a 1973 Gran Torino. The movie, which is rated R, runs for 116 minutes. Children under age 17 must be accompanied by an adult over age 21.

A 2007 comedy starring Sacha Baron Cohen is set for 2:30 p.m. July 2. A 2008 thriller starring Liam Neeson will follow on July 9.

The Kids Movie Series will begin at 2:15 p.m. July 1 with a showing of an animated comedy featuring the voices of John Cleese, Molly Shannon and John Cusack.

Seating is limited for all films. Reservations are not available. All movies are free of charge and open to the public.
