Summer Slam under way at area libraries

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has joined with the N.J. Library Association and N.J. State Library to sponsor the summer reading program for teens and tweens.

The SummerSlam Reading Jam is part of a pilot project of the WWE and the American Library Association’s Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA). Individuals age 10-18 taking part in the Jam will have the chance to win a trip to WWE’s Summer Slam in Los Angeles this summer. Area libraries gave out posters to the first 25 patrons who checked out two books. Each poster has a number, and on July 17, WWEkids.com will post the winning and alternate numbers from the numbered posters.

Participating area libraries are North Brunswick Public Library, Edison Township Public Library, Milltown Public Library, Monroe Township Library and Sadie Pope Dowdell Library in South Amboy.
