Fubarfest 2, a concert to support the troops, will be held at 1 p.m. July 18 at the Jackson Veterans of Foreign Wars post home, 54 Magnolia Drive, Jackson.
The event will feature 10 underground bands who will travel from throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania to honor U.S. troops, veterans and fallen heroes who have preserved the freedom of the nation since 1775.
Featured bands will include The Victory and Where the Ocean Meets the Sky. The music will range from reggae to punk to hardcore. Special guests will include veterans and current service members from all branches.
The show is being put together by the Fubarshows production company based out of Camp Pendleton, Calif., and run by active duty Marines. Tickets will be $10 and can be purchased at the door. All proceeds will go directly to veterans and U.S. troop organizations. Military members will gain free admission for the all-ages show. Details: www.myspace.com/fubarshows.
