William J. Carney

Mr. Carney, 76, of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick, died July 9, 2009, at University Medical Center at Princeton. Before his retirement, Mr. Carney was a federal agent with the Department of Commerce Division of Criminal Investigation, New York City. He was predeceased by a son, James Carney. He is survived by his wife, Carol A. Peters Carney; a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick M. and Denise Carney of Ewing; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Noreen and Steve Roberts of Howell, Arlene and John Troger of Freehold, and Christa Von Peters of Kendall Park; a brother, James Carney of Wolcott, Conn.; and four grandchildren. Burial was at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. The M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, was in charge of arrangements.
