The Middlesex County Fair will take place 5-11 p.m. Aug. 3-7, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Aug. 8 and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Aug. 9 at the fairgrounds, Cranbury and Fern roads, East Brunswick.
Highlights will include rides and games; contests; food and shopping; and daily entertainment featuring Victoria Circus and its high-wire show, a comedy trampoline act, Scheer’s Lumberjack Show with ax-throwing, chainsaw-carving and more, and Agricadabra, an agriculture magic show. There will be fireworks at 9:15 p.m. on opening night, Aug. 3; rain date is Aug. 4.
Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for seniors. $1 for youngsters ages 3-12, free of charge for children age 2 and under. Pay one price ($20) and ride all night on Aug. 3 and 5, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 8 and 9.
There will be free admission for blood donors at the fair’s daily blood drives set for 5- 9 p.m. Aug. 3-7, noon-6 p.m. Aug. 8 and noon- 5 p.m. Aug. 9.
