Sept. 5

• Car Wash, sponsored by the Spotswood High School Touchdown Club, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., at Spotswood High School, 105 Summerhill Road. Cost is $5 per car. Proceeds benefit the school’s football program.

Saturdays, Sept. 5-26

• Weekend Warrior Camps for a Cause, to benefit the South River Food Bank, sponsored by Total Core Fitness Boot Camp, 8:30-9:30 a.m., at 190 William St., South River. Community invited. Workouts raise funds and donations for the food bank. Group fitness instruction led by health and fitness expert Ryan Toth. Admission is $10 or 10 food-bank donations (food or toiletries) per workout. Participants learn ways to burn fat while acquiring a practical exercise program and information on how to alter an unhealthy diet. • Organic Fertilizer and Home-Cleaning Product Sale, featuring chemical free products, sponsored by the Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership, 10 a.m.- noon, at the group’s headquarters building, 85 Washington Ave., Milltown. The nonprofit partnership, dedicated to the protection of the Lawrence Brook Watershed, encourages area residents to avoid the use of toxic lawn and garden products and cleaning liquids. • Fun Day, for the communities of East Windsor, Hightstown, Millstone, Monroe, Freehold, Manalapan and East Brunswick, sponsored by the New Hope Church of God, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at the church, 1004 Old York Road, corner of Route 539, East Windsor.
