Pauline Condulupo Archinaco

Mrs. Archinaco, 89, of Middletown, died Aug. 19, 2009, at home. She co-owned and operated with her husband the restaurant Paula and Al’s, Elizabeth, for more than 35 years, retiring in 1989. Prior to that, she was a buyer at R.J. Goerke. Mrs. Archinaco was one of the first “Rosie the Riveters” during World War II. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Albert. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Villani, with whom she lived; three sons and two daughtersin law, Frank of Sewickley, Pa., James and Suzanne of Holmdel, and Paul and Debbie of Freehold; a daughter-in-law, Linda Archinaco of South Carolina; eight grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Catharine Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. Interment followed at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. Arrangements were by Shore Point Funeral Home, Hazlet.
