   Bordentown Township Senior Citizen Club meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month at the Senior Community Center on Municipal Drive. All township seniors age 55 and over welcome.
   Events schedule for September:
   Meeting is Monday, Sept. 21.
   Yoga every Wednesday at 11 a.m.
   Crochet classes at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24.
   Community day from noon to 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 19.
   Trip to the Bally Casino in Atlantic City, Thursday, Sept. 15.
   Bus leaves center at 9 a.m. Cost $20. More details, 298-4396.
   Every Wednesday, line dancing at 10 a.m.
   Every Thursday, tap dancing at 10:30 a.m.
   Every Friday, dance motivation exercise at 11 a.m.

   Bordentown City’s Farmers’ Market is open very Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the city parking lot next to the Farnsworth House on Farnsworth Avenue. Local produce, foods, artisans and most recently fall harvest and fall mums. Last day for Market this season will be Sept. 30. Please contact Heather Cheesman at 609-298-7828 with any questions.

   Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord (James 5:14). Father John Campoli of His Love Ministries will be offering a Mass at St. Mary’s RC Church on Monday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. for healing. Following the Mass will be individual prayer and Laying on of Hands for the sick. Father Campoli is an internationally known speaker and operates in the Gift of Healing. The Mass collection will be for Father Campoli and his ministry so please be generous. Following the Mass and Laying on of Hands, a reception for Father and his team will take place in the school cafeteria. For more info call the parish office at 298-0261.

   The Friends of St. Mary’s School will hold a Flea Market on Sept. 19 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in St. Mary’s School Hall and Yard, 30 Elizabeth St., Bordentown.
   Refreshments will include our famous tuna salad or egg salad sandwiches and hot dogs. A large selection or articles will be on sale from our many vendors. Inside tables are $10 each; outside space is $5 each. For more information and to reserve space call Sally at 298-7768.

   The Community Concert Association of Bordentown is holding its annual membership drive for the upcoming concert season, which begins in October 2009. The cost of the membership of five shows is $40 for adults and $10 for students. This cost is for all five shows.    The Friends of St. Mary’s School is having a bus trip on Wednesday, Sept. 30, to the Penns Peak Restaurant in Jim Thorpe, Pa. to see King Henry and the Showmen’s presentation of “King Henry’s Wild West Jamboree.” It’s a hilarious comedy with marvelous music, talented singers, musicians and entertainers. The menu features salad, rolls and butter, Penn’s Peak pot roast with mashed potatoes and gravy, country fried chicken with chicken gravy, sweet potatoes, baked beans, corn, Chef’s choice dessert and coffee or tea.    Preparations have begun for the annual Bordentown Halloween Parade and House Decorating Contest. The parade will be held on Oct. 25, with a rain date of Nov. 1. Line up will be on Elizabeth St at 1 p.m. with the parade starting promptly at 2 p.m. Due to the popularity of the House Decorating Contest, we are planning to expand the categories to both daytime and nighttime prizes. Consolidate Fire Association has been coordinating the parade for almost 40 years now and we look forward to participates starting to register their floats and marching units. Our new Web site will be up and running shortly and we are recommending, due to the popularity of the decorating contest, that you register your house to be judged.
