Clarence Wilson Jr.

Mr. Wilson, 83, of Howell, died Aug. 24, 2009, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. A lifelong area resident, he was a truck driver for Jersey Coast Freight Lines, Neptune, for 35 years, retiring in 1981. Mr. Wilson was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was predeceased by a brother and three sisters. Surviving are his wife, Shirley; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Clarence Alan and Kathleen Wilson of Toms River, Douglas Larry Wilson and Trudy Brian of Brick, and Clarence “CJ” Wilson Jr. of Howell; a daughter and son-in-law, Monica Lynn and Dale Carpenter of Randleman, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by interment in Atlantic Cemetery, Colts Neck.
