I’m voting to re-elect Larry Fink for Township Committee because he’s a true friend to Holmdel and the only man with the experience and knowledge for the job. I know that Larry will keep fighting for what’s best for us — the people — especially about our taxes and what’s going to happen with Lucent.
Now, as I understand it, the Township Committee can’t vote to change the zoning on Lucent unless they have a fourvote majority, and right now with Larry and Janet on committee there is a 3-2 split. With four votes, the mayor and her party will get unlimited power to turn the Lucent property into whatever they want, no matter what they say now in their campaign ads. Do you think they’ll listen to us if they get that kind of control? Look at how the mayor and her party raised our taxes this year. Young families and those of us on a fixed income can’t afford that. Larry fought that increase and voted no, but the 3-2 majority passed it anyway. Do we want these people in total control of our town with four votes?
We need Committeeman Larry Fink fighting for us on Lucent and taxes and our big-spending mayor. Larry’s done so much good for our community over the years. We know we can trust him to look out for our future. In these difficult times, with Holmdel at a crossroads, the people need the good guy to win.
