Mr. Buontempo, 77, of Jackson, died Oct. 17, 2009, at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, N.Y. Born in Vasto Chieti, Italy, he lived in the Bronx before moving to Jackson 11 years ago. He was a painting contractor in Larchmont, N.Y., for most of his life. Mr. Buontempo is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nicoletta; a son and daughter in-law, Luciano and Emily Buontempo; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Ali Saidian; and three grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Jackson, followed by entombment at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Marlboro. The Freeman Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
