Mr. Schultz, 60, of North Brunswick, died Oct. 13, 2009, at Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was a licensed professional engineer at the New Jersey Highway Authority for 12 years, retiring in 1998. Prior to that, he was employed in the engineering department of Middlesex County and was a teacher at Middlesex County College, Edison. He was a member of The BassBoards, a local blues band. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Erica Ann and Samuel Perez of Manahawkin; a son and daughter-in-law, James D. and Denise Schultz Jr. of Franklin, Mass.; a brother and sister in-law, William F. and Mary Ann Schultz of East Brunswick; a sister and brother-in-law, Karen and David Wolff of South River; his stepmother, Doris Schultz of Monroe Township; his former wife, Linda E. Schultz of Manahawkin; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Interment was at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover Township.
