Mrs. Mellaci, 89, of Jensen Beach, Fla., died Oct. 16, 2009, at Treasure Coast Hospice, Stuart, Fla., following a brief illness. She resided in Rumson prior to relocating to Jensen Beach 26 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Dr. Louis F. Mellaci, in 1993; a granddaughter, Michelle Hodapp; and four brothers, Michael, Joseph, John and Carmen Pardi. She is survived by a daughter, Laura Mellaci Hodapp of Jensen Beach; two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Sharon Mellaci of Landaff, N.H., and John and Carolyn Mellaci of Jensen Beach; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Rumson. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.
