Nov. 5

• Dining-To-Donate, sponsored by the East Brunswick High School gymnastics team, 4-11 p.m., at Applebee’s, Ryders Crossing Shopping Center, Milltown Road and Ryders Lane, East Brunswick. Diners should present a Dining-To-Donate flier at the restaurant. Applebee’s will donate 10 percent of supporters’ bills (eat-in or takeout) to the gymnastics team. Must present flier for donation to count.

Nov. 6 & 7

• Country Fair and Ham Dinner, sponsored by Spotswood Reformed Church, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Nov. 6, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 7, at the church, 429 Main St. Jewelry, toys, surprise packages in the Trash and Treasure Room. Homemade soups, salads, desserts in the café. Homemade cookies, breads, pies, brownies. Raffle prizes: quilt, bicycle, handmade wooden rocking horse, baked ham, more. Christmas shop, photos with Santa. Family-style Ham Dinner, 4:30-7:30 p.m., Nov. 6 only (takeouts available after 5:30 p.m.); $12 for adults, $7 for children under age 12, free of charge for youngsters under age 5. • Jewels of New Jersey Juried Jewelry Show and Sale, sponsored by the Monroe Township Library Foundation, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., at the library, 4 Municipal Plaza. Handcrafted jewelry by New Jersey artisans; jewelry-making demonstrations. Purchases benefit the Monroe Township Library Foundation. Free admission.

• Spaghetti Dinner, sponsored by the East Brunswick Bears 12U baseball team, 4-7 p.m., at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 133, 485 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Proceeds will help send the team to Cooperstown, N.Y., to play against teams from across the United States. Cost is $8 per person. 732-379-2877.

• Gold Party, sponsored by the Friends of the Spotswood Public Library, 5-8 p.m., at the library, 548 Main St. Barbara and Richard Reinhardt of Barbara’s Unique Boutique, Jamesburg, will buy gold, platinum, silver and costume jewelry. • Clothing Drive, sponsored by the PTA of Memorial Elementary School, East Brunswick, during school hours, 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m., at the school, 80 David St., South River. Seeking gently used clothing, shoes; accessories (purses, backpacks, belts, hats, gloves, scarves, ties, baby accessories); household items made of fabric (blankets, sheets, comforters, etc.); soft toys; hard toys; baby gear. Soft items should be placed in well-tied plastic bags; hard toys may be placed in boxes. PTA will receive money for the total weight collected.
