Lakewood Young Professionals invites the public to join them for a special “Night at the Garden State Philharmonic” Nov. 21 at the Strand Theater, 400 Clifton Ave., Lakewood, at 7 p.m. A reception hosting the Young Professionals will begin at 7 p.m. and includes food donated by Costco of Brick and a cash bar. The concert begins at 8 p.m. with a Mozart overture and Russianborn pianist Elena Baksht performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20. The second part of the evening will feature an interactive multimedia presentation and exploration of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, followed by a full performance of the piece.

The evening is specially priced for Young Professionals and their guests at $10 and includes food, unlimited networking, the concert, and a cash bar. Registration is required by calling the Philharmonic at 732- 255-0460. Regular prices at the door start at $28.

Young Professionals, a committee of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, is a support group for individuals of all ages who are working, in transition, or college graduates.

The Brick Chamber of Commerce will hold a networking lunch at noon Nov. 20 at Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Brick.

According to Executive Director, Michele Eventoff, proceeds will help underwrite display materials that the Chamber of Commerce is providing free of charge to the business community in their “spend locally’” educational campaign.

The Ocean County Retired Educators Association is sponsoring an all-inclusive trip to see the Sight & Sound Production of the “Miracle of Christmas” in Lancaster, Pa., Dec. 8. The package includes roundtrip transportation by motor coach, the Millennium Theatre show ticket, a complete dinner at the Plain & Fancy Farms Restaurant, meal gratuity and taxes.
