Mr. Headden, 87, of Wall, died Jan. 4, 2010, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He resided in the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge prior to relocating to Wall five years ago, where he resided with his daughter and son-inlaw, Lisa and Jack, and two granddaughters. He was an auto body mechanic and owner of Joe’s Auto Body, Keyport, for 25 years, retiring in 1993. He was predeceased by four brothers, Edward, Joseph, Dale and Clarence Headden; and a sister, Ruth Perricone. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Downey Headden; four children, George D. Headden of Keyport, James Headden of Arizona, Richard Headden of South Amboy, and Lisa Williams of Wall; a stepson, Joseph Wilette of Clarksburg; a stepdaughter, Virginia Russell of Long Branch; two sisters, Dorothy Cogliano of Keyport, and Charlotte Frisch of South Amboy; and 14 grandchildren. A funeral service was held at St. John’s Methodist Church, Hazlet. Entombment followed at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Keyport. Arrangements wee by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
