The Association of Student Assistance Professionals of New Jersey (ASAP-NJ) is presenting its 24th annual conference, “Joining Together: Shaping, Affecting, Changing Lives,” Feb. 4 and 5 at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick.
The conference will address substance abuse prevention, treatment and recovery as well as other psychological, social and behavioral issues facing our youth and families today.
Speakers include Doug Collier of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) on “Embracing the Culture of Collaboration” and Dr. Maurice Elias from Rutgers University on “Who Will Put Together the Jumbled Schoolhouse: Tools for Coordination of Social Emotional and Character Development.”
The conference and membership is open to student assistance coordinators, school counselors, social workers, nurses, school administrators, mental health, family and other youth serving clinicians/agencies as well as interested others.
