Mr. Fountain, 72, of Jackson, died Jan. 1, 2010, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Jackson. He lived most of his life in Freehold, retiring to Tampa, Fla., for 15 years before moving to Jackson for the last six months. Mr. Fountain served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard for 25 years. He was a supervisor in the engineering department for Jersey Central Power & Light Co. for 37 years before retiring in 1994. While in Florida, he was employed as the building supervisor for Transworld Diversified Services in Tampa until 2009. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Melissa of Jackson, and Timothy and Susan of Bedford, N.H.; a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Michael Giannotto of Freehold; and seven grandchildren. A chapel service was held at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Arnytown.
