Mr. Whitmore, 73, of Wall and formerly of Little Silver, died Jan. 9, 2010. He had worked for law firms in Red Bank and Shrewsbury before starting his own practice, George G. Whitmore, P.A., in Red Bank in 1983. Mr. Whitmore was most recently with the firm of Ansell, Zaro, Grimm and Aaron in Ocean Township. He was also the founder of the Elder Settlement Program of Monmouth County. Surviving are his children, Hilary W. O’Shaughnessy and her husband, Brian, of Wall, Juliane Whitmore Pendell of Red Bank, and Cynthia W. Kovacs and her husband, Jeffrey, of Miami; and five grandchildren. A memorial gathering was held at the Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.
