Crichton “Mac” Mc Kee

Mr. Mc Kee, 83, a resident of Eatontown for 10 years, died Feb. 17, 2010. A veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II, he worked as a welder for Hudson Engineering in Hoboken and also Geldback Refrigeration Co. in Sparta. Mr. Mc Kee was a steamfitter who helped build the World Trade Center. He was a supervisor for Martino Welding and worked on the Seatrain and Maersk shipping lines, ending his career in 1991 with Koven and Co. in Dover after five years of service. Mr. Mc Kee was preceded in death by his brother, Ian Mc Kee; two sisters, Jean Kirschbaum and Agnes Christiansen; and a son-in-law, Lawrence H. Gigante. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Johanna Burggraaf Mc Kee; a daughter, Barbara Joan Mc Kee Gigante of Oceanport; a brother, Ronald Mc Kee of Forked River; a sister-in-law, Jean Burggraaf Huebner, and her husband, Wayne, of Mine Hill; a grandson; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at the Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. Interment followed at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown, Burlington County.
