WEST LONG BRANCH — Police responded to a report of a robbery at the Walgreen’s located at the intersection of State Highway 36 and Monmouth Road at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 21.
According to police, an employee had been threatened with a knife and forced to surrender cash from the safe. No one was seriously injured but an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
The store security camera captured an image of the perpetrator. The suspect is described as a male, medium build, wearing a black jacket with a colored strip on each shoulder and back, black ski mask, orange or reddish hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black gloves.
