SHOW TUNES AT HAR SINAI TEMPLE FRIDAY
HOPEWELL TWP. – "The Megillah According to Broadway" show is going on – this time without a weather postponement – Friday (March 5) night at 7:30 in Har Sinai Temple.
Originally scheduled for last weekend, the Purimshpiel begins with a Shabbat service and then continues with a celebratory commemoration of the deliverance of the Jews from a plan to annihilate them as told in the biblical Book of Esther.
Food, gifts, contributions to charity, drinking wine and wearing costumes and masks are characteristic of the festival. The main entertainment that is a joke-laden musical of show tunes called "The Megillah According to Broadway.”
