Mrs. Nelson, 83, of Toms River and formerly of Tinton Falls, died Feb. 23, 2010, at Kensington Court Assisted Living Residence, Tinton Falls. Mrs. Nelson was predeceased by a brother, John “Jack”; and a sister, Olive Christenson. Mrs. Nelson is survived by her husband of 41 years, Allen E.; seven children and their spouses, Linda Kellar, Elaine Prefontaine and her husband Luc, Robert Kellar and his wife Virginia, Janet Wadle and her husband Barry, Gary Nelson and his wife Grace, Nancy Cochran and her husband Michael, and Carl Nelson and his wife Maria; a sister, Jean Scott of DuBois, Pa.; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends and her church family. A service was held at Luther Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tinton Falls. Interment will take place at a later date.
