Central Jersey Quickball www.quickball.com Welcome To Ripken Quickball offers fast, fun, and exciting baseball and softball themed birthdays, events, and fundraisers for boys and girls ages 8 and up. Quickball is enjoyed by boys and girls, teens, and college students across the country. Quickball consists of several uniquely formatted baseball-like or softball-like games with different objectives and range from very competitive to backyard baseball type fun. Whether Quickball is used as a competitive college intramural sport, a travel team team-building event, or a Quickball Birthday Bash, it’s fast, fun, and action-packed excitement. Quickball was originally designed as a physical education program. Its non-stop action lends itself to a good workout and and it’s easy to play and is fun for all ages and abilities. One Princeton area athletic director who recently saw Quickball in action with 36 8th graders (boys and girls) remarked "’it was a hit across the board…love the constant movement."
While fun and easy to play it is also played competitively as a college intramural sport and is used by competitive travel teams for both skill development and a teambuilding event. The uniquely formatted games require players to communicate and strategize quickly.
The Quickball Birthday Bash features several fun games tailored to the ages and abilities of the participants. Games are played with specially designed foam Quickballs (which are also used as an indoor/outdoor training and batting practice ball) on a scaled -down field both of which increase the speed and action of the games. Team format is typically 4 against 4, 5 against 5, or 6 against 6 depending on the age group. Here are some typical responses from Birthday Bash customers. From a 12 year old, "Best party ever, can we do it again before my next birthday?’ From parents of a 10 year old "Parents were planning their Quickball party before ours was even over!" And finally, "This is what we’ve been looking for!"
Central Jersey Quickball is currently accepting registrations for its Spring Recess Quickball Blast. Each Quickball Blast event is a 2 hour tournament style event pitting team aganst team. Selected dates and times for age groupings are available from March 26 to April 11, 2010.
Register as an individual by March 15 $25/person or as a team $20/person for a team of 4, 5, or 6. Team formats are 6 v. 6 for 8 and 9 year olds, 5 v. 5 for 10 and 11 year olds, 4 v. 4 for 12 and 13 year olds. For age grouping 14-16 the format is also 4 v. 4. Register March 16 or later $30/person or $25/person as a team of 4, 5, or 6. Central Jersey Quickball travels to groups and organziations who provide a venue- minimums apply.
