Oceanport resident seeks Republican nod

Monmouth County resident David Corsi of Oceanport has announced his candidacy in the Republican primary for New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District, the seat currently held by Congressman Rush Holt (D- 12).C

orsi, 52, is the president of Peace of Mind Management Corp, a property management and investment firm. He is also the vice president of the Association of Real Estate Professionals, a group that deals with policy issues regarding tax and real estate matters in Trenton and Washington, D.C.

In a press release, Corsi said he is pro life and ran for Congress in 2008 and was the second highest vote getter among independent candidates seeking office in New Jersey.

“My campaign slogan is ‘Had Enough?’ My campaign will focus on solving the problems that bloated, out-of-touch government, special interests and elitist politicians have created. These groups and their misguided policies have allowed the United States to lose millions of jobs and become the largest debtor nation all within one generation. And those problems cannot be solved by the same cast of characters that have created them,” Corsi said.
