Army Pvt. Angelo A. Antoniello, son of Vincent Antoniello of Hazlet, has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.

Antoniello is a 2008 graduate of Raritan High School, Hazlet.

Air Force Reserve Airman Jordan I. Midgley, son of Nancy Digeronimo of Hazlet, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an Associate in Applied Science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

He earned distinction as an honor graduate.

Army Pvt. Timothy P. Nolan, son of James and Virgina Nolan of West Keansburg, has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

Army National Guard Spec. Jaime Santiago, son of Raffaela Medoro and Jaime Santiago of Hazlet, is returning to the U.S. after a deployment to Iraqi in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom.

The soldiers return to Fort Dix for debriefing, evaluations and out-processing procedures before returning to their regularly assigned Army Reserve or National Guard units.

Santiago, a petroleum supply specialist, is assigned to Company E, 1st Battalion, 150th Assault Helicopter Battalion, Lakehurst. He has served in the military for three years.

The specialist is a 2006 graduate of Keyport High School.

Air Force Airman Christopher D. Michaels, the son of Catherine Gradl of Red Bank graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.
