The Monmouth County Historical Commission is accepting nominations for its annual preservation awards program that recognizes the efforts and accomplishments of residents in preserving local buildings and other structures that have historic value. The deadline is April 14.
Anyone, including a property owner, may nominate a structure that has historic value and has undergone preservation work that was substantially completed in 2009. Homes, business buildings, houses of worship, public buildings and other structures that are more than 50 years old are eligible.
Complete entry information, including applications, is available on the Monmouth County website, www.visitmonmouth.com. Applications are also available by calling 732-4431-7413. Completed applications should be mailed to Monmouth County Historical Commission, Hall of Records Annex, 2nd floor, Freehold, NJ 07728.
