PLUMSTED — Three residents are running for two available three-year seats on the Plumsted School District Board of Education in the April 20 school election.
The candidates are Lawrence Downs, Paul Mulligan and Garrett Midgett.
Downs is a current member of the school board.
Board member Anthony O’Donnell is not seeking re-election.
A public hearing on the 2010-11 school year budget is expected to be held at 6:30 p.m. March 26 at New Egypt High School. Residents will have the opportunity to comment on the spending plan at that time.
On April 20, residents will vote on the local tax levy that the board is proposing to collect for the upcoming school year.
