Dr. Alan Nasar and Dr. James F. Cozzarelli, orthopedic surgeons at Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institutes, Freehold Township and Monroe Township, have been granted medical privileges at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, allowing them to offer a comprehensive range of orthopedic services, including surgery, to patients there.
Nasar is fellowship trained in joint replacement surgery. He is a director of orthopedics of The Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center, Freehold; a member of the American Medical Association; and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Cozzarelli, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in arthroscopy, total joint replacement, and fracture and trauma care, is the director of orthopedics of CareOne at Jackson, a nursing and rehabilitation center in Jackson.
Free Motion Rehabilitation Center, 528 New Friendship Road, Howell, will be holding a supply drive to benefit the Jersey Shore Animal Shelter during the month of May. Some of the requested items are Pedigree, Purina and Science Diet Dog food, Purina Cat Chow, Natures Recipe Cat food, Purina Kitten Chow. New or gently used towels and blankets, pine shavings and rabbit treats are also requested. Cleaning supplies including sponges, laundry detergent and disinfecting wipes would also be useful. Allaire Village Inc. has been awarded $10,000 by OceanFirst Foundation of Toms River for the cultural and musical programs at the historic Allaire Village in Allaire State Park, Wall Township. The grant will help to provide cultural and dramatic readings and musical entertainment and will benefit the citizens of Monmouth, Ocean, and Middlesex counties. Since the initiation of the program, Allaire Village Inc.’s cultural and musical programs have brought a series of outdoor concerts, dramatic readings and musical performances to the communities of central New Jersey.

The Goddard School, 50 Route 520, Morganville, has recently earned three awards, Circle of Excellence – President’s Club, Quality Assurance Award and Health and Safety Award.
