The Middlesex County Department of Senior Services will hold Birthday Bashes for seniors age 90 and above May 5 at the Old Bridge Senior Center, Route 516 and Cottrell Road; May 10 at the South Brunswick Senior Center, Ridge Road; and May 19 at the Piscataway Senior Center, 700 Buena Vista Ave. Each event will begin at 11 a.m.
The Old Bridge luncheon will honor residents of Helmetta, Old Bridge, Perth Amboy, Sayreville, South Amboy, South River and Spotswood.
The South Brunswick event will serve residents of Cranbury, East Brunswick, Jamesburg, Milltown, Monroe, North Brunswick, South Brunswick and Plainsboro.
The Piscataway luncheon will honor residents of Carteret, Dunellen, Edison, Highland Park, Metuchen, Middlesex, New Brunswick, Piscataway, South Plainfield and Woodbridge.
Traditionally, approximately 150 seniors age 90 and above attend each lunch. Each celebrant is invited with one guest. A few spots remain for this year’s events, but registration is required.
Seniors who need transportation to the party should check with their local senior center or with the facility in which they reside. Residents may also call Middlesex County Area Transit at 1-800-221-3520 to make a reservation.
