Thanks for support

Dr. Todd Fay, superintendent; Steven Wolock, board president; Derek Roseman, finance chairman
The administration, staff and board of Lambertville Public School would like to thank the voters for approving the 2010-11 elementary school budget. We worked hard to produce a budget that meets the educational needs of Lambertville’s children but that also recognizes the economic realities all families are facing. Over the past several months, we have been forced to make some very tough decisions — and more are still to come — but we believe that we have made the right decisions based on the needs of our students and the entire community.
Even though LPS’ budget was one of only five in the entire county to pass, we have no intention of resting on our laurels. The reality is that next year’s budget will probably require even more tough choices. Over the coming school year, we will continue to seek savings wherever possible without compromising the quality of education we provide to our children. We earned your support last Tuesday — to keep it, we know we must prove to be as good as our word.
We encourage everyone to truly be part of the LPS community — not just around election time, but throughout the year. The Lambertville Board of Education usually meets the third Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. in the school library. We hope you will come to see and hear all the good things going on at LPS, and share your ideas and input. Please visit lpschool.org to learn more about LPS including the 2010-2011 budget and the most recent school report card.
Again, all of us at LPS thank you for the strong vote of confidence you gave to the direction we have taken.
