CONFIRMATION CEREMONY AT HAR SINAI TEMPLE
HOPEWELL TWP. – A class of nine area youths will participate in a Confirmation ceremony at Har Sinai Temple on May 18.
The Confirmation service celebrates Shavuot, the festival of "Weeks" that commemorates the day the Ten Commandments were given to Moses on Mount Sinai.
The holiday begins with at Erev Shavuot service at 7:30 p.m. on May 18 and continues the following morning at 10:30 a.m. with a Shavuot morning service during which Yizkor prayers will be said both for Temple members and loved ones who died within the past year.
This year’s Confirmation class consists of Justin Baumann, son of Nancy and Jeffrey Baumann of Pennington; Hannah Bullard, daughter of Diane and Steven Bullard of Yardley, Pa.; Benjamin Dafilou, son of Sharon Gertzman and David Dafilou of Pennington; Steven Millner, son of Jennifer and John Millner of Titusville; Caryn Pastorella, daughter of Robin and Sam Pastorella of Lawrenceville; Michael Perl, son of Cynthia and Ronald Perl of Pennington; Ian Sibner, son of Jean and Jeffrey Sibner of Yardley, Pa.; Sara Stadulis, daughter of Monique Van Perlstein of Hopewell Township and Jeffrey Straus, son of Cathy and James Straus of Princeton.
The Confirmation class and their families will share an evening dinner at Har Sinai Temple, 2421 Pennington Rd. at Denow Road West on May 18.
