BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP Police have arrested two women and are seeking a third who allegedly stole a total of $600 in baby formula from the Acme on Route 130.
Briunca N. Jenkins, 19, Emiah D. Lewis, 18, and June Fuller, 26, were charged April 29 with shoplifting.
Police said store employees observed the women bring large empty handbags into the store and fill them with the formula, then leave without paying. Police said they arrived at 1:30 p.m. and took Ms. Jenkins and Ms. Lewis into custody, but Ms. Fuller already had fled the scene. A $1,500 warrant for her arrest has been filed.
”We IDed her from a video, and we’re actively trying to apprehend her,” said Lt. Brian Pesce.
Ms. Jenkins, who also had warrants out of Trenton and Hamilton totaling about $1,200, was sent to Burlington County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail, and Ms. Lewis was released on a summons.
