Horse show now Jersey fresh and family-friendly

Event at Horse Park of New Jersey May 6-9

The Jersey Fresh Three-Day Event has taken a new approach to this year’s competition to offer familyfriendly activities throughout the weekend.

Admission to the May 6-9 event at the Horse Park of New Jersey is free on Thursday and Friday and $20 per carload on Saturday and Sunday. Spectators can tailgate in reserved areas for $30 per carload during the cross-country and show jumping contests.

Dressage will start at 8:30 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

Cross-country will start at 8 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Professional Riders Organization (PRO) riders Phillip Dutton, Buck Davidson, Sharon White and Canada’s Diana Burnett; New Jersey natives and PRO advisory board members Doug Payne and Kristin Schmolze; and rising stars Jennie Brannigan and Tiana Coudray will compete in the CCI Two-Star division.

The ReRun Dinner and Silent Auction will be held at the Horse Park on Saturday evening. Tickets can be purchased at the venue for $15.

Show jumping will start at 11 a.m. and Polocrosse will start at noon on Sunday. The Kubota Obstacle Course Challenge is being touted as one of the highlights of the event. The Bucks County Polocrosse Team will hold an exhibition game, with Brannigan and Payne mounting up for the ride.
