The Molly Pitcher Stitchers Quilt Guild will meet 7:30-9:30 p.m. May 10 at Old Tennent Presbyterian Church, 448 Tennent Road, Tennent section of Manalapan, on the Old Tennent Cemetery property.
The event will feature a round-robin in which various members will teach a specific skill. Guests will learn to knit simple clothes to dress teddy bears provided to the group by the Salvation Army. The newly dressed bears will then be returned to the Salvation Army, ready to be given to a needy child for Christmas.
Participants also will learn how to sew a block and how to use a “Mega Quilter.”
First and second guild meetings are free of charge.
