Mr. De Vita, 87, of The Villages, Howell, died April 9, 2010, at St. Barnabas Hospice at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was a principal partner at the Vincent S. De Vita law firm, Brooklyn, N.Y. Mr. De Vita was a decorated U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II. He was also a former president of the AARP local chapter. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Josephine F. De Vita, in 1997. He is survived by two sons, John Vincent De Vita, and his wife, Barbara, of Clifton, and Francis Paul De Vita, and his wife, Vicki, of Tinton Falls; three grandchildren; and one greatgranddaughter. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold Township, followed by entombment in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery Mausoleum, Freehold Township.
