West Windsor’s Galaxy of Dance Takes Top Award at Regional Competition

West Windsor, June 7, 2010:  The Competition Team at the Galaxy of Dance in West Windsor participated in DanceXplosion’s Regional Competition in Sparta, NJ this May.  DanceXplosion is a talent competition where competitors can shine and showcase their talent.  
The Competition Team at Galaxy earned DanceXplosion’s prestigious Xcalibur Award which is awarded to the highest scoring group routine. The routine, Ballet Gone Bad features the entire Competition Team who range in age from 5 to 18. This is the third time in Galaxy’s history to earn this award. The routine also won a special Entertainment Award which was presented to Kelly Gorner who choreographed the routine.
Kelly Gorner, who is also the studio’s director commented, “This award was extra special as it recognized the talents and efforts of all my dancers from my youngest, right up to my graduating seniors. It gives me great pleasure to teach both my recreational dancers as well as my competitors. Dancing contributes to the growth of self-confidence in all participants.” 
The Galaxy of Dance is conveniently located in West Windsor Township of Mercer County, NJ.  The Galaxy of Dance has been committed for 16 years to providing each student with a firm foundation in various dance disciplines.  The studio’s philosophy maintains that students are individuals and are equally talented in their own way. Galaxy’s main goal is to promote the growth of each student by providing a nurturing, yet structured, environment where students have fun while they learn.
