Run for Dad
Princeton resident Dan Feder was the top overall finisher at the Run for Dad 5k, which was held on Sunday at Mercer County Park in West Windsor. Feder covered the course in 17 minutes, 13.75 seconds to finish seven seconds ahead of Mahesh Sambasivam of Hopewell.
Robert Motz of Princeton finished seventh in 18:45.04, while David Mouleon of Princeton was ninth in 18:51.14. Gayle Ciallella of Princeton was the second female finisher, while Princeton High’s Jenna Cody was the third overall female finisher.
Legion baseball
The Princeton Post 218 and West Windsor-Plainsboro American Legion baseball teams each split their doubleheaders on Sunday. Princeton fell to Allentown, 3-2, in the completion of a suspended game before coming back to win the regular game, 14-9. Will Mooney and James Bunn each had three hits in the win for Post 218, which is 3-7 on the season.
WW-P topped Robbinsville, 13-1, behind the pitching of Alex Campbell. Ralph Aurora, Jared Rubenstein and Dan Block each drove in three runs in the win. WW-P dropped the second game, 7-6, to fall to 4-7 overall for the season.
Colleen Cosgrove
The Cherry Valley Country Club member was the low gross scorer at the Women’s Trenton District Golf Association’s Senior Championships, which were held Thursday at the Burlington Country Club. Cosgrove finished with an 83, which was one shot better than Donna Cortina, who is also from Cherry Valley.
In the net scores competition, Cosgrove finished with a 74, which was just two shots behind Barbara Camhi’s score of 72.

Puchalik hockey
The inagural Paul Puchalik Memorial Ice Hockey CVC All-Star game will be held on Friday at 7 p.m. at Loucks Arena at The Lawrenceville School The game will pit players from the Colonial Valley Conference against each other in honor of Puchalik, who passed away in November from cancer. Proceeds from the game will go to the NHL Fights Cancer program.
Packet area players who will play in the game include Chris So, Adam Rothman, Joe Cangelosi and Darren Stafford of West Windsor-Plainsboro South, who will play for Team Puchalik. Ben Bugge, Steven Kolber, Andrew Washuta, Mark Raziano and Casey Litwak of WW-P North, as well as Fraser Graham, Peter Twining and Josh Berger of Princeton High will play for Team Paul.
COLLEGE
Cory Weingart
The Montgomery High graduate played in 19 games, five as a starter, for the Delaware Valley College baseball team. Weingart batted .227 with five hits in 22 at bats. He finished with two doubles and four runs batted in.
Delaware Valley finished the season with a 15-21-1 record.
Steve Perone
The Montgomery High graduate played in 24 games, 15 as a starter, for the Wesley College baseball team. Perone batted .339 with 19 hits in 45 at bats. He had one home run, six doubles and 11 runs batted.
Wesley finished the season with a 29-13 overall record and won the ECAC Division III South championship.
