Vector Marketing has opened a new sales office at 2050 W. County Line Road, Jackson. The office, run by branch manager Alice Cichon, will be used for the recruitment and training of new sales representatives as well as for team meetings during which additional training and mentorship is provided. Sales representatives market Vector’s product, CUTCO Cutlery, through inhome presentations and use the sales office as home base. As an independent contractor, Vector branch managers, most of whom are still in college and on summer break, individually own their Vector sales office. Being a Vector branch manager allows Cichon to be an entrepreneur while having guidance and support from corporate headquarters, giving her a hands-on experience of owning and running her own business. Following Vector’s strict “promote from within policy,” all managers begin as sales representatives. All branch managers complete a management training program before opening their office as well as being given opportunities during the summer for continued education and training.
