Mrs. McDermott, 49, of Jackson, died July 9, 2010. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Jackson 20 years ago. Mrs. McDermott was a hairdresser in her shop, Holly’s Hairworks, in Jackson. Surviving are her parents, Irving and Sandra Schwartz of Vero Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Brooke and Chelsea, both of Jackson; her former husband, Tim McDermott of Howell; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Rene and George Burger of Island Heights, Adrienne and Mark Barilka of Freehold, and Michele and Daniel Costello of Houston, Texas; and two stepbrothers, Paul Schwartz of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Allan Schwartz of London, England. A funeral service was held at the Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold. Interment was private.
