FRHSD names assistant principals

Manalapan High School will welcome two new assistant principals to the main office in September.

Former assistant principal Shaun Boylan was named principal of Marlboro High School in June.

The Freehold Regional High School District Board of Education accepted the resignation of a second assistant principal, Cynthia Baumgartner, during its July 26 meeting. Baumgartner’s reason for departure was listed as taking another position.

To replace Boylan and Baumgartner at Manalapan, the board is promoting from within the ranks of the FRHSD.

The board approved Patricia Blood and Thomas Gallahue to become vice principals at Manalapan High School on July 26.

Blood was most recently the supervisor of English at Freehold Township High School. Her salary as a supervisor was $85,141. She will be paid $121,638 on the assistant principal salary guide.

Gallahue was most recently an English teacher at Manalapan. His salary was $77,670. He will be paid $121,638 on the assistant principal salary guide.

In a related matter, Boylan was listed at a salary of $141,638 when his appointment as Marlboro’s principal was approved on June 21.

At the July 26 meeting the board approved Boylan’s advancement on the salary guide to step three, which increases his salary to $144,638.
