– Advanced Readers (for those entering grades five-eight). If you love to read and talk about books, you are invited to an hour of book talk and friendly company. Parents welcome. "The Storm in the Barn," Aug. 25, 7 p.m.
– River Readers (for grades K-three), through Aug. 12 at 10:30 a.m. This program will be held at the Acme Justice Center. On Aug. 12 Mad Science presents Stunt Planes and Gliders: Learn about the forces that affect flying machines, and build your own glider. Younger siblings can take part in Music with Miss Annie at the same time and place.
– Warrior Fans Clan Gathering – All Warriors fans are invited to a clan gathering on the night of the full moon, Aug. 24, 7- 8:30 p.m. Have fun talking about favorite characters with others who love the series, too. Exchange ideas about what will happen in the rest of the Power of Three stories. If you are working on the Reading Warrior challenge, this gathering will help you fulfill your reading warrior code.
– Music with Miss Annie (5 months to 5), Aug. 12 at 10:30 a.m. This program will be held at the Acme Justice Center. Miss Annie returns with her music and movement program. She sings a lively mix of well-known favorites and modern folk songs on guitar, banjo and ukulele. Older siblings can take part in River Readers at the same time and place. This variety program for children offers a different them each week.
–Super summer cinema free at the Lambertville Library Fridays at 2 p.m. BYO Snacks. When it’s just too hot – or wet – to be outside this summer, Make A Splash in the A/C at the library with these water-themed family movies for all ages. All films are free. – Cuentos y canciones, every Monday morning, 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., is an early education program entirely in Spanish for children under 5. Parental supervision is required. During the program, children will listen to stories, sing children’s songs and participate in an art project, all in Spanish.
– Bouncy Booktime children’s story hour with children’s librarian Jennifer Sirak Tuesdays at 10 and 11 a.m. at the Lambertville Library.
