BORDENTOWN CITY – Police charged a Trenton man with stealing money from St. Mary’s Church on Crosswicks Street.
A caller told police about the man and was able to follow him to the Light Rail Train station where police said they found about $39, a hypodermic needle and suspected cocaine on the suspect, Robert Parker, 56.
Police said there was an outstanding $7,500 warrant out of Trenton on Mr. Parker.
Mr. Parker complained of chest pains and was taken to the hospital, police said. He charged and given a court date later this month and released on his own recognizance on the Trenton warrant.
Patrolman Joe Bourn investigated.
