Each fall the Ladies Auxiliary of the Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad conducts a flea market to raise money for the squad. This year’s flea market will take place Saturday, Sept. 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the squad building, which is located at 237 N. Harrison St., Princeton Township. On offer will be everything from food to furniture.
PFARS is the primary provider of emergency medical and technical rescue services to Princeton Borough, Princeton Township, and Princeton University. Founded in 1939, the squad is a volunteer-led, nonprofit corporation, not a division of any hospital or municipality, dependent upon public and private support. The squad responds to about 3,000 calls each year.
The various fundraisers conducted by the Auxiliary allow the squad to purchase medical equipment, such as defibrillators, uniforms, and amenities for the squad building. These fundraisers supplement rather than replace contributions from residents and businesses.
Interested vendors should call Claire at 609-921-8972 or Rosemary at 609-921-6320. Tables are $15 each/
